At After Dark Productions, we deliver some of the most advanced, design-led DJ experiences in the industry.
What makes us truly unique is that our DJ setups and booths are completely custom-built, designed by an international concert and club lighting designer, bringing the standards of large-scale productions into weddings and private events. Clients can also choose from a white or black DJ booth front.
Many mobile DJ setups focus purely on functionality.

As standard, we deliver a high-impact pixel DJ booth, producing dynamic visual effects that naturally draw guests to the dancefloor.

Dedicated Sound & Lighting Technician
Every event includes a specialist technician to ensure both sound and lighting are perfectly balanced throughout.
Lighting is programmed to follow the music, enhancing each moment and creating a more engaging, energetic dancefloor. This allows the DJ to focus purely on the music and how the crowd are responding.
Specialist Haze (Diffusion) Systems
To unlock the full impact of the lighting design, we use advanced haze systems that allow beams of light to become visible in the air. adding depth, drama, and atmosphere.
Our systems are carefully selected for venue compatibility so not to trigger smoke detectors, and we are often among the few suppliers authorised to use haze (in many case the only supplier), thus ensuring the lighting performs exactly as intended. Without haze many lighting effects such as moving heads are useless.
Funktion-One Sound
We use Funktion-One sound systems, renowned for delivering powerful, high-fidelity audio.

Package Options
The “Silver System”, shown here, is the ideal setup for both Cowdray House Dining Hall and The Walled Garden.
For additional visual impact, the Platinum upgrade introduces Pixel Towers, creating a larger-scale, more immersive production, as featured in our band enhancement setups.
Uplighting can also be added to extend the lighting design throughout the room, enhancing darker areas and creating a fully immersive environment.

While we are happy to provide production-only setups for external DJs, our own DJs are selected for their ability to deliver exceptional, crowd-focused performances.
When booking an After Dark DJ, you’ll gain access to a music planning system, allowing you to:
Add must-play tracks
Include general preferences
Highlight any do-not-play songs
This enables our DJs to create a perfectly tailored, floor-filling set, combining your musical tastes with their expertise in reading the room and building energy.
